The 2010 Relief Society late-night retreat was a blast! We thank our wonderful Relief Society President, Gainell Rogers, for inviting us to her family cabin up American Fork Canyon. What a fun, cozy, and inviting place to be!
Our theme for the evening was "You Are My Hands" based on a conference talk given in April 2010 by President Uchtdorf. We, as sisters, are the hands of Christ and should extend our hands toward others in Christlike love and service. Uchtdorf taught us that:
1 - Our hands can embrace
2 - Our hands can comfort
3 - Our hands can serve
You can read the entire talk here. We were able to do many things with our hands that night including: paraffin wax treatments, sign name on square of quilt for Bishop Broderick, eat yummy food, play a fun get-to-you-you game, and take home a personalize hand soap that listed Christlike characteristics.
